SAINT GEORGE'S CENTRE Saint George's Centre offers a range of spaces available for hire either individually or as a whole, for single events or multiple occasions. Inquiries should be directed to the Parish Administrator in Saint George's Office by telephone: 9822 3030 or at: office@stgeorgesmalvern.org For commercial catering inquiries contact Ed Dixon Food Design at ed@eddixonfooddesign.com Phone: 9419 4502, www.eddixonfooddesign.com  The HallThe Hall has a pitched timber ceiling and a polished wood floor: it seats some 200 people in theatre style, and up to 100 people at round tables for the full service of meals, including room for a buffet and for a drinks table. Seating is provided by upholstered chairs and benches. The Hall has brilliant natural light: glazed doors on the north side open to a verandah that runs the length of the Hall, and overlooks the attractive garden that separates the Centre from the Church. The Hall is gas-heated. The Kitchen The Kitchen is adjacent to (but soundproofed from) the Hall. It is built to commercial standards with stainless steel benches, separate double sinks for food preparation and washing-up, extra-large double electric ovens, a five-burner gas hob, double refrigerators, hot-water urns, service trolleys, and a commercial dishwasher.  Facilities
Each of the three meeting rooms is carpeted and air-conditioned, and has an appropriate number of tables and upholstered chairs. Each room has its own tiled kitchenette with bench top and sink, hot-water urn, bar refrigerator, and appropriate crockery for the service of light refreshments. Audio-visual equipment is available. A lift serves the North and South meeting rooms. The modern toilet facilities are off the Hall foyer.  Meeting rooms
South Room This space faces east and south over the Malvern Cricket Ground. It seats some 60 people in theatre style. North Room This sunlit space faces east and north over the Church and the garden. It seats some 40 people in theatre style. Tower Room This light and airy first-floor room faces west and south over Glenferrie Road. It functions well as a board room, and seats some 20 people. Marquee There is space for a marquee on the front lawn of the church. Car Parking Ample parking is available within the grounds. |
