SUNDAY WORSHIP Altar Servers Men and woman assist the clergy in the preparation for and celebration of the Eucharist. Contact: The Vicar CHOIR The Choir offers a vital element of worship. "Whoever sings, prays twice." Interested sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses are invited to apply to Dr Calvin Bowman. EUCHARISTIC ASSISTANTS Lay men and women are licensed by the Archbishop to assist at the Eucharist by administering the Holy Communion. Coordinator - The Reverend Ian Morrison MORNING TEA A friendly gathering following the 10 am service provides a great time to catch up with friends and meet new parishioners. Coordinator - Wendy Armstrong SACRISTANS Prepare the altar for the Eucharist and coordinate laundering of linen. Convenor - Leah Andrew BRASS GUILD Coordinated by Geoff and Gloria Bell to keep the brass shining. READERS Lay men, women, and children are rostered to read the lessons. Coordinator - Merrin James USHERS See to the effective running of Sunday services, the distribution of service books, the collection of offerings and accounting in readiness for banking. Coordinators - David and Geraldine Powell WELCOMERS Provide friendly faces and warm greetings for newcomers and the whole congregation. Coordinator - Raelene Lane ORGANISATIONS See the WEEKLY BULLETIN for details. Convenor - Sandra Morgan EDUCATION for MINISTRY A structured study program, meets each Tuesday evening. EfM Mentors - Jamie Miller & Helen Badderley FLOWER GROUP Arranging flowers for Sunday services, weddings, and funerals. Family members may give the cost of anniversary flowers to mark weddings, bereavements, or birthdays. Convenor - Merrin James MOTHERS' UNION Meets the first Tuesday of each month. President - Pat Hagerty SPIRITUAL CAFÉ Meets monthly - usually at Giorgio's Restaurant opposite the Malvern Town Hall - for dinner and an address on a topic of significance. Convenor - Helen Baddeley THURSDAY STUDY GROUP Meets twice monthly following the Thursday morning Eucharist to explore the scriptures. See the WEEKLY BULLETIN for details. Convenor - The Reverend Ian Morrison FRIDAY LUNCHEON GROUP Lunch and a speaker. Convenor - John Perry OAM WOMEN SEEKING SPIRITUALITY Meets monthly on a Monday evening. THE VESTRY Lay men and women elected or appointed annually meet monthly (other than in January) to conduct the management of the parish and church business.
